Job Title: Underwriting Operations Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary Range: £50,000
Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)

Overview
This role supports the Underwriting Operations function in the production and submission of Non-Financial Lloyd’s Returns and the preparation of underwriting performance materials for internal committees. The position also contributes to the ongoing enhancement of underwriting management information (MI), data quality processes, and underwriting control frameworks. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure accurate reporting and effective operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
Non-Financial Lloyd’s Returns
Prepare and submit Non-Financial Lloyd’s Returns through Core Market Returns (CMR) and Market Data Collections (MDC), including PMDr, RRQ, ATIA, and Gareat submissions.
Underwriting Committee Reporting
Assist in the preparation and production of underwriting packs and supporting materials for internal underwriting committee meetings.
Underwriting Management Information (MI)
Collaborate with data and reporting stakeholders to enhance and develop underwriting MI reporting, including the use of Power BI to support data visualisation and insights.
Data Quality Processes & Underwriting Controls
Support the development and improvement of data quality processes and underwriting control frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance across underwriting data.

Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preparing and submitting Non-Financial Lloyd’s Returns
  • Experience using Core Market Returns (CMR) and Market Data Collections (MDC)
  • Understanding of underwriting management information, data quality processes, and underwriting controls
  • Strong task prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
