About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Syndicate Accountant to play a pivotal role in our Syndicate Reporting team. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will make a real impact!
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Take charge of maintaining and preparing the Syndicate UK GAAP general ledger and ETB, including the preparation and posting of journals.
- Financial Reporting: Be instrumental in the planning and preparation of our quarterly Lloyd’s Flash Reports, as well as our half-year and annual Financial Statements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Actuarial, Tax, and Treasury teams, and liaise with External Auditors to ensure seamless reporting processes.
- Regulatory Returns: Prepare essential returns such as RRQ, RRA, QF1, and US and Canadian Trust returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our Syndicate Reporting processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Support: Engage in exciting project work that supports our strategic goals and initiatives.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Be flexible and ready to support any other Lloyd’s returns or ad-hoc tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Required: Previous experience in the insurance industry, preferably within a Lloyd’s Syndicate.
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified.
- Familiarity with Peoplesoft and FSassist software is a plus!
