Overview:
This role sits at the heart of a business undergoing a period of significant transformation, with a strong focus on modernising financial processes and strengthening financial planning and insight. The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in shaping financial decision-making by providing high-quality analysis, clear financial narratives, and forward-looking insights to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly business performance packs, including detailed analysis and commentary
- Consolidate financial performance across multiple product lines, highlighting key drivers and emerging trends for senior management
- Partner with commercial finance leaders to understand performance, standardise reporting, and ensure consistency across trading teams
- Work closely with financial control to gain transparency into monthly ledger activity, including payroll journals and accruals
- Analyse exceptional spend and ensure accurate allocation to relevant business units and project codes
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Assist with M&A-related activity, including monitoring and evaluating post-acquisition performance
- Deliver ad hoc analysis to support trading performance reviews and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate closely with other members of the FP&A team to drive continuous improvement
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or a similar analytical finance role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear insights
- Confidence engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail combined with the ability to step back and assess the bigger picture
- A proactive, ambitious mindset with a strong desire to drive improvement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment
- Desirable but Not Essential:
- Prior experience within insurance or financial services
- Exposure to M&A activity or post-acquisition financial integration
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or change initiatives
