Overview

Drive the design, deployment, and adoption of machine learning and AI solutions that solve complex insurance problems. This role blends deep technical expertise with commercial impact, partnering with business leaders to deliver production-grade models, measurable value, and a scalable ML/AI capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end model development (design, training, validation, monitoring) and deploy production ML/AI services.
• Partner with ML/AI engineers to build scalable architectures and real-time inference systems.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define KPIs and measure value delivery; ensure model governance, quality, and best practices.
• Mentor data scientists; review code, analyses, and presentations to maintain high standards.
• Manage projects and roadmaps with product owners and business teams to prioritise high-impact use cases.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years’ hands-on data science experience with production deployments.
• Insurance domain fluency and understanding of industry data and use cases.
• Advanced Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and strong ML methods (ensembles, trees, regression).
• Clear communicator who can influence stakeholders and drive adoption.
• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics or related field (Master’s preferred).

Desirable but Not Essential

• Knowledge of RAG and agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience with MLOps (CI/CD for ML, monitoring, feature stores).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and real-time services.
