Overview
This role exists to deliver high-quality claims advocacy across professional, financial, and cyber lines. Acting as a strategic partner to clients, the Senior Claims Advocate will analyse coverage, navigate complex claims scenarios, and negotiate optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of Professional, Financial, and Cyber claims from notification through to settlement.
- Review claim details, assess coverage, prepare documentation, and maintain accurate internal records.
- Produce and present claims information to clients and insurers, responding to all resulting queries.
- Monitor insurer agreement, track payments, and ensure funds are issued to the correct beneficiaries.
- Identify and escalate claims issues promptly to management.
- Liaise effectively with clients, insurers, experts, and internal stakeholders to support smooth claim progression.
- Provide claims statistics and renewal reports for broking colleagues.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure correct processing of payments and resolution of queries.
- Remain up to date with market developments, systems, and internal processes.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience handling Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, or D&O claims.
- 3–5 years of experience with a broker, insurer, law firm, or loss adjuster in professional/financial lines.
- Knowledge of ECF and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, numeracy, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and operate collaboratively.
- Proactive mindset with a desire to grow technically and professionally.
- • Undergraduate degree preferred but not essential; willingness to pursue CII qualifications.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Exposure to cyber claims.
- Experience producing renewal claims statistics.
- Broader experience across multiple specialty lines.
