This role sits within a growing, entrepreneurial insurance platform operating across the UK and US markets. The business works closely with a broad network of distribution partners and places delegated authority business across multiple specialty lines.
The Operations Data Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of operational data, with a particular focus on bordereaux (BDX) and policy administration system (PAS) data. The role supports robust operational oversight, strong data governance, and the delivery of analysis-ready datasets used across underwriting, portfolio management, actuarial, finance, and compliance functions.
Operational & Outsourcing Oversight
- Support oversight of outsourced operational and data services, with a focus on BDX and PAS data delivery.
- Monitor data quality, timeliness, and adherence to agreed standards, controls, and service levels.
- Act as an escalation point for data issues, supporting investigation and resolution with third-party providers and internal stakeholders.
- Validate and sense-check underwriting, premium, and claims data.
- Identify data quality issues, control weaknesses, and process inefficiencies, supporting remediation at source.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data standards, governance frameworks, and operational controls.
- Deliver accurate, structured, analysis-ready datasets to support reporting and analytical use across the business.
- Support the development of repeatable data pipelines and automated processes to reduce manual intervention.
- Produce and maintain operational MI and dashboards (e.g. Power BI) to support oversight and decision-making.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with operations, compliance, portfolio management, and data stakeholders.
- Liaise with outsourced providers and technology vendors to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement.

- Exposure to BDX and PAS data within a delegated authority, MGA, or London market environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI; exposure to automated reporting or data pipelines is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of SQL is beneficial but not essential.
- Clear communicator, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience in an operations, data, or reporting role within insurance.
- Exposure to data quality controls, governance, or regulatory reporting is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience delivering analysis-ready datasets for reporting or insight.
- Degree-educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working within a complex, regulated insurance environment is desirable.
