About the role
Are you interested in the issues impacting businesses and the economy globally? At this syndicate we work with companies to respond to those issues. From climate change to future pandemics, we assess the risks that companies face, and assume that risk through the insurance we provide. Working within the Lloyd’s of London marketplace, our work is varied – from protecting cargo ships at risk of piracy to supporting communities in the wake of a hurricane. Our job is to protect our clients from loss – operational, financial and reputational – and it takes time to build that expertise. We’re looking for curious and enthusiastic people who want to experience working in insurance.
The Legal and Wordings apprentice role will be part of a diverse department with a wide range of skillsets, including legal, company secretarial, wordings, and marketing and communications. Our ambition is to be a top quartile performing business. This role will provide administrative and technical support to both the Legal and Wordings teams, on a rotational basis, which will develop your understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in which this business operates, our product offerings and the risks associated across a diverse underwriting portfolio. This is a role that is at the heart of everything we do.
