Title: Claims Adjuster – Liability
Location: London/ Hybrid 
Salary: £60,000 + pa 

About the role 
  • To assist the Assistant Claims Managers and Head of Casualty Claims to further develop the company’s market leading Liability claims offering, in order to contribute to the attraction and retention of profitable business.
  • To assist in delivery of the Claims Business Plan through management of claims issues arising from a designated book of business and development of nominated client relationships.
Role responsibilities:
  • Delivery, through personal ownership and via the team, of a first-class service to all customers
  • Management of claims arising from the designated portfolio (to include those beyond personal authority) – this may be achieved by personal ownership or by working with a more experienced colleague
  • Ownership of nominated client relationships to ensure delivery of Claims services to support and develop business objectives
  • Liaison with Underwriters to assist in ensuring that they are fully briefed on claims issues at an individual level
  • Ensuring fair customer outcomes & commerciality when decision making in line with the business values
  • To have a clear understanding of the company's risk appetites in terms of delegated authority, conduct and financial crime
  • Champion the company values and work in accordance with the organisational behaviors
  • To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime & conduct
Technical Requirements:
The following are essential for this role:
  • Demonstrable experience handling casualty claims in the Lloyd’s market (ideally international rather than UK) ECF – good working knowledge
  • ACII, or progression towards (but expected to complete at the business) or law degree
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders
  • In depth knowledge of the workings of the London market
  • Good communication skills
  • Good customer service skills
