Overview:
This role supports underwriting and claims teams by ensuring binder bordereaux data is captured accurately, validated consistently, and delivered in a way that enables timely reporting and meaningful analysis. You’ll manage day-to-day bordereaux administration, resolve data issues with internal and external stakeholders, and help improve data quality and efficiency across the binder portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and maintain binder data (risk, premium and claims where applicable) within internal systems and the bordereaux management platform.
- Submit bordereaux for processing and support timely delivery of binder MI and reporting.
- Create and maintain mapping templates for new binders/sections; update existing templates as needed.
- Perform validation checks, investigate exceptions, resolve errors and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders (e.g., underwriting, brokers/coverholders, delegated authority contacts).
- Support claims binder bordereaux administration, including chasing missing submissions and escalating where required.
- Drive improvements in data quality by working with stakeholders to ensure mandatory/conditional fields are completed and standards are consistently applied.
- Provide administrative support, including shared inbox management and coordination across data/claims workflows.
- Quality check outputs produced by outsourced/third-party providers where applicable and provide feedback to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Continually identify process improvements and efficiencies; support ad hoc tasks and reporting as required.
- Work in line with conduct, financial crime and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrable experience mapping and processing risk and premium bordereaux into a bordereaux management system.
- Strong understanding of risk, premium and claims bordereaux, including Lloyd’s data standards (e.g., V5.2).
- High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain quality under time pressure.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of delegated authority and how bordereaux supports underwriting performance and oversight.
- Analytical approach with the ability to identify data issues, investigate root causes and drive resolution.
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills; able to take ownership of issues and see them through.
- Proactive team player who supports colleagues and contributes to continuous improvement.
- Experience in the London insurance market and/or within delegated authority environments.
- Familiarity with delegated data manager platforms or similar tools (e.g., DDM/Tide).
- Experience working with outsourced providers and quality-checking their outputs.
- Experience producing updates or reporting for senior stakeholders and underwriting leadership.
