Bordereaux Analyst Job Description

Role Purpose & Accountability

• To assist in delivering a first-class service and ensuring that the Business has the data necessary to allow for timely and accurate reporting and data analysis on binder business.

• Accountable to the Bordereaux Services Manager.

• To provide day to day administration of binder bordereaux.

• To locate and enter binder data and original bordereaux into the Business’s systems.

• To undertake Validation checks against Binder Data and produce necessary reports where required.

Role responsibilities:

This role includes responsibility for:

• Accurate and timely binder data entry into the Business's systems (Risk, Premium & Claim).

• Assisting with the review and peer review, resolution and escalation of bordereaux quality.

• Liaise with Underwriters, their Assistants and members of the Delegated Authority and Claims DA team to correctly identify binder bordereaux against Tokio Marine Kiln binders and sections within the binders.

• Submit relevant bordereaux to the Binder Bordereaux System for processing of transactional level data.

• Create mapping templates for new binders / sections. Amend existing templates when needed.

• Resolve validation errors on binder data and escalate issues to Underwriters / Delegated Underwriting Team as applicable.

• Work towards improving binder's data quality over time through discussions with brokers in relation to completion of mandatory and conditional data fields.

• Continually reviewing and looking to deliver efficiencies and streamline process.

• Champions the Company values and works in accordance with the organisational behaviours.

• To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to Financial Crime & Conduct.

• Ad hoc tasks as required

Technical Requirements:

The following are essential for this role:

• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and Tokio Marine Kiln IT systems.

• Logical thinker to write formulae to perform calculations in Binder Bordereau Systems.

• Analytical

• Good communicator

• Knowledge of the insurance market is advantageous but not essential.
