Title: Senior Underwriter – Marine & Energy Liability
Hybrid: London City 
Salary: £100,000+ 

Job Summary:
Our client seeks an individual to underwrite and develop a profitable liability book as part of a M&E liability team and wider Marine & Energy Division, providing exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the International M&E Liability business plan and assist in future planning.

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities through London Market brokers and international offices.

  • Utilize technical expertise to enhance profitability of renewals and attract profitable new business.

  • Monitor claims development and collaborate with claims team for appropriate settlements.

  • Purchase facultative reinsurance within client guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with best practices, policies, and Lloyd’s regulations.

  • Act as a PRA/FCA Approved Person, adhering to regulatory principles.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining technical pricing models.

  • Provide monthly and periodic reporting on M&E Liability account performance.

  • Contribute to quarterly and annual underwriting results reporting.

  • Participate in committees including underwriting, operations, and risk & compliance.

  • Fulfill duties of Head of M&E Liability as needed.

  • Mentor and educate team members.
