Assistant Vice President - North American

Location: London City
Hybrid working: Home/ Office base
Salary: £60,000 per annum

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Marsh’s International Placement team, specialising in tailored property solutions for North American clients, across a vast spectrum of industries and geographies.
You will be expected to have knowledge of the property insurance market and be a part of a strong, dynamic, and innovative team, that works and collaborates with a network of offices across North America to deliver excellence to our clients as part of one global solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interaction with insurers who are based within Lloyds of London and the wider insurance market on a day-to-day basis.

  • We would expect the candidate to have a network of relationships across a multitude of companies, be able to navigate the market for our clients, and have some knowledge of risk appetite.

  • Risk Assessment and Underwriting: The candidate will assess and underwrite property insurance risks for North American clients. This involves evaluating risk exposure, analysing policy terms, and determining appropriate coverage levels.

  • Market Research and Analysis: The candidate will stay informed about trends, developments, and changes in the property insurance market. They will monitor industry news, track competitor offerings, and provide insights to enhance the team’s decision-making process.

  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers based in Lloyds of London and other market participants is crucial. The candidate will negotiate terms, collaborate on placements, and leverage their network to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
