Job Title: Underwriting Assistant – Global Property
Location: London
Salary Range: £32,000
Reporting to: Senior Underwriter
Type: Permanent, Hybrid

Overview
This role provides essential support to the underwriting team responsible for managing a global commercial property portfolio. The successful candidate will assist in achieving business objectives by maintaining accurate data, producing reports, and supporting underwriters in delivering high-quality and profitable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter underwriting risk data into the underwriting system, including setting up new risks, amending details, and completing entries.
  • Input aggregate data into monitoring systems to ensure accurate exposure tracking.
  • Upload, attach, and organise documents within the document management system.
  • Maintain and update underwriting files, including following up on missing documentation.
  • Monitor system reports for incomplete risks and error items, correcting issues and liaising with underwriters or brokers as needed.
  • Perform compliance checks on all risks to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
  • Produce various reports and analyses as requested by underwriters or management.

Education & Experience
  • Maths GCSE or A-Level (or equivalent).
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.

IT Knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with internet-based systems and electronic placing platforms.
