Location: London City
Hybrid working: Home/ Office base
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work for Marsh’s International Placement team, specialising in tailored property solutions for North American clients, across a vast spectrum of industries and geographies.
You will develop knowledge of the property insurance market as part of a strong, dynamic, and innovative team, that works and collaborates with a network of offices across North America to deliver excellence to our clients as part of one global solution.
Interaction with insurers who are based within Lloyds of London and the wider insurance market on a day-to-day basis, developing a network of relationships across a multitude of companies whilst navigating a market for our clients where risk appetite will differ depending on the overall company strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team supporting Senior Brokers on a variety of clients who come to London as part of their overall risk management strategy.
  • Learn and understand the technical aspects of property insurance, including wording, coverage, claims, US geography and catastrophe exposure clients face.
  • Engage and negotiate with underwriters on behalf of our clients with their property insurance renewals.
  • Support and drive the timely execution of operational-based processes whilst also being proficient in Excel to help support our data collection and market analysis functions which help guide and support our clients.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends to offer innovation and insight to help the teams continuously push for improvement.
Key Skills
  • Desired Insurance Knowledge: Understanding insurance policies, regulatory guidelines, and the technical aspects of property insurance (including wording, coverage, claims, and catastrophe exposure).
  • Data Proficiency: Being proficient in Excel to support data collection and market analysis functions.
  • US Geography Awareness: Familiarity with US geography, especially relevant for property insurance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to engage and negotiate with underwriters during property insurance renewals.
