Job Title: Core Applications Service Delivery Manager (Specialty)
Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days on-site per week)
Salary Range: £75,000 + benefits

Overview:
Lead service delivery and continuous improvement for a suite of core insurance applications (policy admin, claims, document/content management) within a product-centric transformation. You’ll own vendor and managed-service performance, stabilise and enhance critical platforms, and partner with engineering, product and business stakeholders to drive reliability, incident excellence and value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end service management across core applications (policy admin, claims, DCM/ECM).
  • Govern offshore/managed services; hold vendors to SLAs and drive continual improvement.
  • Triage, coordinate and communicate on P1/P2 incidents; ensure robust problem management.
  • Operate within ITIL/ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow); manage change, release and testing readiness.
  • Maintain risk, control and audit posture (vulnerability exceptions, remediation, evidence).
  • Own knowledgebase and service documentation; improve supportability and standards.
  • Partner with product/engineering on backlog, non-functional requirements and releases.
  • Provide MI/KPIs and insight to stakeholders; identify defects/trends via Azure DevOps.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting underwriting/claims applications (specialty/London Market exposure).
  • 3+ years in application service delivery/management within insurance.
  • Strong ITIL/ITSM practice (incident, problem, change); ServiceNow proficiency.
  • Hands-on with Azure DevOps; familiarity with release/test governance.
  • Proven leadership of hybrid onshore/offshore teams and third-party vendors.
  • Stakeholder management across technology, audit, risk and business functions.

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • MS SQL proficiency; experience with platforms such as Guidewire, Verisk, Sequel, ImageRight, BOX, or Newgen.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with CCM/ECM, integrations/web services and automation.
  • 10+ years’ global delivery experience and full SDLC familiarity.

About the Company:
A well-established specialty insurer with strong London Market heritage, known for technical depth and a collaborative culture. The organisation is investing heavily in modernising its technology estate and operating model, with a clear focus on data, resilience and talent to enable its next phase of growth.
