Job Title: Compliance Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home)

Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Analyst to play a key role within a second line Compliance function in the general insurance market. The role focuses on supporting the delivery of a robust compliance framework, providing regulatory advice to the business, and contributing to monitoring and assurance activity.
The position offers exposure to a wide range of regulatory topics and business stakeholders, making it ideal for a motivated compliance professional looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the delivery of the Compliance Advisory and Assurance plan, including day-to-day compliance monitoring activities.
- Analyse and interpret regulatory requirements, expectations, and market best practice to provide clear, pragmatic advice to the business.
- Support the development, implementation, and oversight of the compliance monitoring programme.
- Assist with regulatory reporting processes and act as a point of contact for business queries relating to compliance matters.
- Support change initiatives by providing compliance input and ensuring regulatory considerations are embedded appropriately.
- Provide regular and accurate status updates to senior compliance stakeholders on assigned tasks and initiatives.
- Manage and respond to compliance-related enquiries in line with agreed service levels.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support Advisory and Assurance activities.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Support oversight and assurance activities across broader compliance frameworks and related processes.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including conduct risk, customer outcomes, financial crime, data protection, conflicts of interest, prudential requirements, and whistleblowing standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience within a Compliance function in the general insurance sector; exposure to the Lloyd’s market is advantageous.
- Good understanding of UK regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations within financial services.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret regulation and apply it pragmatically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage tasks independently, prioritise effectively, and meet agreed deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards a recognised compliance or insurance qualification are desirable.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience contributing to regulatory change projects.
- Exposure to compliance monitoring or assurance testing frameworks.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting processes.
- Familiarity with prudential and conduct-focused regulatory regimes in the UK insurance market.
