Overview:
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of efficient, high-quality operational and placement services within a US Casualty insurance environment. The position focuses on end-to-end account management processes, including placement preparation, premium processing oversight, compliance, and stakeholder coordination. It offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced market environment, contributing to operational excellence while supporting brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing placement documentation to agreed market and compliance standards.
- Support and oversee premium processing activities, including resolving technical or operational queries.
- Maintain accurate and compliant placement records using relevant market systems.
- Utilise appropriate market platforms and internal tools to support the placement lifecycle.
- Provide training and ongoing support to third-party service providers where required.
- Maintain awareness of end-to-end processes including premium processing, claims, IBA, and middle-office activities.
- Monitor and manage key contractual dates such as payment warranties and subjectivities.
- Support internal audit and file review processes to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address cash and credit control issues and identify process improvements.
- Contribute to standardising processes and implementing operational efficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to compliance requirements including contract certainty, due diligence, KPIs, audit standards, and authorisation frameworks.
- Build effective working relationships with operational, technical, compliance, and support functions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant insurance or London Market environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of casualty business lines; US Casualty experience preferred.
- Experience working with London Market processes and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Comfortable contributing to process improvements and operational change.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience supporting third-party or outsourced operational service providers.
- Exposure to audit, compliance, or file review processes.
- Broader technical exposure across additional insurance classes.
- Experience supporting training or mentoring activities within operational teams.
