Overview of role

Undertake accurate and timely day-to-day administration of individual risks in our underwriting platform and associated systems to support our underwriting teams. This role may be aligned to a particular line of business, but where necessary due to business volumes, will also collaborate with others in the Administration Services team to provide appropriate administration support. From time to time, further support across other disciplines will be required, whether on a BAU (Business As Usual) or project basis.

Purpose of role

The Underwriting Operations function is at the heart of supporting our underwriting teams across processes, data, systems and change and works on a mix of BAU, tactical and project timelines.

The Administration Services team support our underwriting teams with day-to-day administration of individual risks in our underwriting platform and associated systems. This is a key function for Newline as it underpins the data that drives decisions everywhere else so accuracy, consistency and timeliness are paramount. Further, a smooth and stable Underwriting Operations function supports high quality underwriting and a great service proposition to our brokers and clients as well as underpinning our regulatory compliance and resilient financial performance.

Main areas of responsibility

- Accurate and timely input and updates of risk, financial, and other information and correspondence into the Newline underwriting platform and associated systems.

- General administrative support for underwriting teams across various processes, including on a project basis.

- Investigation of credit control queries and liaising with underwriters, brokers and business partners for resolution where appropriate.

- Liaising with colleagues in the Newline service companies to ensure accurate data exchange.

A successful Administration Services function means underwriters have everything in place to transact business where they are ready: the required information is in the right place at the right time and it is 100% correct.

The various members of the Administration Services team work together to maintain the required service standards are met when things get busy for various teams.
