Purpose of the Job:

To assist the Group Tax team with:

•             providing tax accounting and compliance support for group companies, and

•             delivering tax advisory projects which relate to the structuring and investments of the group.

Principal Accountabilities:

•             To assist in preparing the annual UK corporation tax returns.

•             To assist with making timely CTSA payments on account.

•             To assist with the preparation of tax disclosures for UK group and subsidiary statutory accounts at both year end and half year periods.

•             To support the Senior Tax Manager and Tax Analyst with quarterly tax reporting.

•             To assist in the preparation of syndicate returns and information submitted to Lloyd's.

•             To assist in the preparation of operational and withholding tax documentation.

•             To establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.

•             To assist the Senior Tax Manager with tax advisory projects.

•             To provide support to the rest of Group Tax for other projects and business initiatives as required.

•             To demonstrate a diligent and professional approach to obtaining the Association of Tax Technicians Qualification

•             To work within the guidelines agreed by the Group Head of Tax, Senior Tax Managers and Tax Analyst.

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

•             Advanced numeric and analytical skills.

•             Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•             Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.

•             Diligent, organised and pro-active approach.
