Overview
This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a Claims function and develop a strong understanding of how insurance claims are managed from initiation through to resolution.
You will learn how claims professionals assess liability, estimate reserves, track outcomes, and ensure that service delivery is accurate, compliant, and customer-focused. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will gain exposure to how claims decisions are made and how they support clients in managing operational, financial, and reputational risk.
You will collaborate closely with experienced claims specialists, underwriting teams, and external partners, while also gaining exposure to data-driven tools, operational systems, and wider business functions. This role offers the opportunity to build your professional network and develop confidence working across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end handling of insurance claims, including administrative and operational tasks.
Assist in monitoring claim progress, tracking outcomes, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Contribute to the estimation of reserves and support claims reporting activities.
Analyse claims data and management information to identify trends and support decision-making.
Conduct research into market developments, claims practices, and emerging industry issues.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and updates for internal stakeholders.
Support business improvement initiatives and process optimisation projects.
Collaborate with colleagues across claims, underwriting, and operational teams to gain a broader understanding of the insurance value chain.
Help ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient claims services.
