Overall role:

Responsible for the servicing of all accounts and related activities within Cyber, Media & Technology to; achieve the performance targets of the Team's business plan, maintain compliance, regulatory and quality practice standards, and support the maintenance of existing business alongside the acquisition of new business.

Key accountabilities:

Technical & Operations Management

• Involvement in all aspects of operations within the Team to meet quality control targets including renewal and new client accounts.

• Involvement in highlighting any deficiencies in operations and in recommending remedial or corrective action to be taken.

• Involvement in investigating and resolving complaints and service failures.

• Involvement in all Placement activity including MRC Slip creation, submission preparation, negotiation and obtaining of the most appropriate carrier, coverage and price for the clients’ requirements, and all other technical support to the Team.

• Document Production relevant to the Insured’s exposures and risk transfer goals, as well as the Team’s services.

• Develops and maintains market relationships to permit the widest placing opportunities.

Management Information

• Involvement in producing and analysing key information surrounding the portfolio of insurance policies and other statistics as may be required by the Team.

Client Management

• Identifies and manages client requirements in accordance with the terms of appointment

• Builds and maintains strong client relationships through well-planned and executed account management

• Ensures there are sufficient resources to meet client day-to-day demands and escalates servicing issues to management as necessary

• Ensure that the standards of UIB's Client Service Charter are met at all times

File Management

• Support the Team to maintain thorough and timely records of market negotiations, presentations and communications with insurers and with clients in accordance with Internal Procedures and inform clients and/or colleagues of any developments.

• Ensure that correspondence, documentation, statistic etc. are retained on paper and electronic files in accordance with BPM and divisional procedures to demonstrate a complete audit trail.

Compliance/Corporate Governance

• Insure that legal, market, regulatory and Best Practice Manual requirements are met in all aspects of business acquisition, placing, claims and servicing.

• Insure that high technical standards are maintained to achieve quality, minimal rework and minimal E & exposure.

• Maintain confidentiality in systems and procedures.

• Insure that financial & document checks and subsequent approval process is handled in accordance with UIB's Authorised Signatory List.

• Review files to ensure that correspondence, documents, statistics etc. are retained on file in accordance with Best Practice Manual/divisional procedures providing a complete audit trail

• Support the introduction of new processes in response to regulation changes.

• Identify and report suspicious financial circumstances or transactions directly to UIB'sMoney Laundering Reporting Officer

Desirable experience:

• Minimum London Market and/or International Market (re)insurance experience of 3 years.

• Minimum insurance academic qualification: Cert Cll or equivalent.

• Previous experience of placing medium to large Cyber accounts

Knowledge and skills

• Market and industry structure and operation, including regulation and current market practices LLMIT, LM1 and LM2 or equivalent experience

• Sector specific risks and insurance products/solutions Risk analysis

• Slip drafting and Approval

• Basic business finance, budgeting and high literacy in insurance finance. Analysis and interpretation of management information

• Well-developed verbal and written communication Time management and prioritisation

• FCA - ICOB and Money Laundering/Prevention of financial crime End to end broking process

• Detailed understanding of UIB’s strategies to achieve market reform requirement
