Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Overview:
This is a senior business analysis role focused on supporting complex technology and change initiatives within a commercial insurance environment. The position plays a key role in translating business needs into clear, structured requirements and ensuring strong alignment between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. It is a compelling opportunity for someone who enjoys working on large-scale transformation, improving core business processes, and shaping solutions across policy administration, integrations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead requirements definition across complex projects and strategic multi-year initiatives
Translate business needs into clear documentation, including business use cases, process flows, data flows, traceability matrices, and reporting mock-ups
Plan and facilitate requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder meetings, and review sessions to drive consensus and approval
Build strong relationships across business units and support functions to understand operational needs and priorities
Work closely with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise and support issue resolution
Ensure proposed solutions improve business efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency across products where possible
Support the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing, including test plans, scripts, and sign-off coordination
Provide guidance and support to other Business Analysts within the team
What We’re Looking For:
Significant experience as an IT Business Analyst within the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance market
Strong background working with policy administration systems, with experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter particularly valuable
Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements for complex system change
Strong understanding of Agile Scrum and core business analysis methodologies
Hands-on experience writing user stories and producing clear, high-quality BA artefacts
Comfortable working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership
Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills
Experience supporting reporting solutions and downstream integrations would be beneficial
Desirable but Not Essential:
Experience with reporting platforms or reporting-focused change initiatives
Previous leadership or mentoring experience supporting junior or mid-level Business Analysts
Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes in regulated insurance environments
