Overview:

The role supports underwriting activities across a global portfolio, combining technical analysis, stakeholder interaction, and exposure to complex reinsurance structures. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the underwriting of Personal Accident reinsurance programmes in line with the business plan and delegated authority
- Utilise actuarial pricing tools to assist in risk assessment and pricing decisions
- Prepare and document underwriting recommendations, including review of contract wordings
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry across underwriting and exposure management systems
- Assist in portfolio monitoring and performance analysis against business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, claims, operations, compliance, and finance
- Contribute to team strategy discussions, research, and planning activities
- Ensure adherence to underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of underwriting processes and data quality
What We're Looking For:
- Experience within the Personal Accident insurance or reinsurance market
- Understanding of reinsurance principles and market dynamics
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data for decision-making
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with actuarial pricing tools
- Good knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Progress towards or completion of a professional insurance qualification (e.g. ACII)
- Experience using risk modelling, pricing tools, or loss models
- Exposure to broker or client relationship management
