Title: Project Manager 
Rate: £650 per day 
Location: London, Hybrid  

Role Purpose & Accountability 

As a delivery-focused project manager, work closely with Business Stakeholders, Users, IT Partners, and 3rd Party Suppliers to appropriately represent and deliver strategic projects.

This means ensuring the projects:

  • Adhere to project management and quality standards, are delivered on time and to budget, meeting the Business Stakeholder and user needs   

Role responsibilities:  
This role includes responsibility for:

  • Working closely with Business Sponsors, Project Portfolio Manager, Programme Managers, and IT stakeholders to ensure the project is mobilised and structured appropriately (including project initiation documentation, project plan, RAID & RACI logs, and budget). 
  • Managing the delivery of the project to agreed timescales and budget to achieve the goals and benefits expected, escalating issues to the Project Portfolio Manager and/or Programme Manager as required.
  • Producing and managing the project plan to include IT, 3rd party supplier, and business activity. 
  • Managing the project activities of any Business Analyst (permanent or contract) and PMO representation on the project.
  • Managing and agreeing project scope and any change requests.
  • Managing key stakeholders across all departments.
  • Managing any internal and external IT suppliers to ensure delivery to scope, plan and budget.
  • Managing risks, issues and dependencies, and developing any necessary mitigation plans.
  • Producing regular reporting for the Sponsor and for project and programme boards.
  • Maintaining compliance with TMK project governance standards.
  • Championing the company values and working in accordance with the organisational behaviours. 
  • To be aware of and comply with the conduct rules as set out by the PRA & FCA Standards of Conduct 
  • To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules, regulations and requirements laid down by any relevant regulatory, statutory and / or supervisory bodies or authorities in which the company is registered, trades and/or operates

Technical Requirements: 
The following technical requirements are essential for this role:

  • Demonstrable experience in effectively managing complex projects, demonstrating increasing complexity over time 
  • Structure approach to project management, demonstrating proficiency with various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Ability to initiate, grow, and maintain strong working relationships at all levels, including Executive
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Project Management standards qualified ie Prince 2, APM etc The following technical requirements are desired for this role: 
  • Experience working within Insurance/London Market is an advantage but not a prerequisite 
  • Multi-territory exposure is an advantage but not a prerequisite
