Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Manager to join a growing Treaty Reinsurance team within a well-established specialist insurance and reinsurance brokerage. This role offers the chance to work closely with both Treaty and Facultative professionals in a collaborative, high-performing environment with ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clients, managing placements, and contributing to the continued development of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the production and placement of reinsurance contracts in line with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Review and analyse client needs to determine appropriate reinsurance solutions, coverage structures, and terms.
- Manage the placement of designated risks and oversee documentation throughout the risk lifecycle, including market reform contracts, wordings, and endorsements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants, including underwriters, brokers, and market service providers.
- Deliver a high standard of client service and ensure accounts are managed efficiently and professionally.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise and communicate complex information effectively to a range of stakeholders.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market developments, trends, and cycles to identify opportunities and deliver value to clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
- Escalate and report any breaches, errors, omissions, disputes, or complaints in accordance with governance requirements.
- Participate in mandatory training and contribute positively to a collaborative and accountable team culture.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous client management experience gained within a broking house, reinsurance broker, or insurer.
- Strong Property and Specialty Reinsurance experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Treaty Reinsurance market.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong technical, organisational, and communication abilities.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience working with Managing General Agents (MGAs), Binder arrangements, or Consortia structures.
- Exposure to both Treaty and Facultative reinsurance environments.
- Experience working within a rapidly growing or newly established team.
