Overview
This role is suited to an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to build a career within insurance claims administration. The position combines administrative support with exposure to technical claims processes, supporting a busy claims function across a variety of tasks and deadlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing claims-related documentation, producing reports, and supporting wider operational processes. The role also offers exposure to junior claims handling responsibilities and involvement in process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new claims files and maintain accurate electronic records and documentation within internal systems.
- File and manage incoming correspondence and claims-related documentation.
- Produce reports and assist with the distribution of claims data internally and externally to brokers and service providers.
- Input and maintain accurate claims data across multiple systems.
- Liaise with internal departments to support efficient claims administration processes.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly management information reporting.
- Respond to routine enquiries from brokers and external service providers.
- Request claims files and assist with general correspondence and follow-up activities.
- Process monthly claims bordereaux and support delegated authority account administration.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives relating to systems, reporting, and operational processes.
- Provide support on junior-level claims handling activities where required.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage routine tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively while supporting multiple stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working under deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident IT user with experience working across multiple systems and databases.
- Team-oriented approach with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
- An interest in developing knowledge within claims and insurance operations.
