Job Title: Claims Administration Assistant (x2) – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: London
Salary: £30,000
Type: Contract / Hybrid

Overview
The primary focus of the Claims Administration Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Claims function across London and Europe. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate claims data, supporting claims processing and ensuring activities are completed in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and relevant London Market standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, alongside other ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Manage claims processing in accordance with applicable claims procedures, authority levels and London Market standards.
  • Proactively manage claims workflows and diaries, ensuring claims are recorded accurately and all relevant documentation is attached to each transaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes detailing the current status of claims and required next steps, supporting effective claims outcomes and reducing static claims.
  • Process and manage settled direct claims, including associated diary activities.
  • Complete daily processing activities and identify any incorrect allocation of premium or claims transactions for appropriate correction.
  • Correct claims transactions that have followed premium signings into suspense.
  • Process manual bridging reserves at quarter-end and reconcile and remove these once accounts have been updated.
  • Follow up on direct and manual fees.
  • Review loss fund adequacy and support the recovery of loss funds relating to prior years.
  • Upload bordereaux where required.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding or incomplete electronic claims documentation and submissions.
  • Provide general administrative support to Claims Adjusters, including diary, static claim and fee follow-up during periods of increased workload or holiday cover.
  • Support other ad hoc administrative and process-improvement projects as required.
  • Escalate any suspected financial crime concerns through the appropriate reporting channels.
  • Operate in accordance with Treating Customers Fairly and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Identify and appropriately manage any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Escalate complaints promptly to the appropriate Compliance and Management contacts.
