Role Overview
An opportunity for an experienced General Aviation underwriter to lead and build a dedicated portfolio with full responsibility for strategy, growth and profitability.
The successful individual will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging their market relationships and technical expertise to establish and scale a sustainable book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for a General Aviation portfolio
- Build, manage and grow a profitable underwriting book with full P&L accountability
- Leverage broker relationships to generate and convert business
- Establish a strong presence across the London and international markets
- Build and lead an underwriting team aligned to portfolio growth
- Work closely with central functions to ensure compliance and operational alignment
Experience Required
- Proven track record in General Aviation underwriting
- Strong broker relationships within the London and/or international markets
- Experience managing or influencing portfolio performance
- Strong technical underwriting capability and market knowledge
- Commercial mindset with the ability to build and grow a book of business
